The last thing Dean Jones expected after a short trip out was to be missing a floor - but his nine-month-old tearaway Taz has previous
A dog owner was horrified when he returned from the gym to discover his beloved dog had demolished most of his kitchen floor.
Dean Jones is used to cleaning up after his nine-month-old tearaway Staffordshire bull terrier, Taz.
But the last thing he expected after a short trip out on Monday was to be missing a floor.
The father of one, from South Wales, said: “Taz is kept in the kitchen while I go to the gym and things.
"So I went to the gym on Monday and then popped to my nan’s to pick up a few things.
“When I came home and walked into that I couldn’t believe my eyes. As soon as I walked in I just stood there completely shell-shocked.
“Taz was in the corner and wouldn’t even look at me – as if to say ‘It wasn’t me dad’.
“I’ll have to have a new floor now but luckily my mother and my nan said they would help me pay for it.”
And it wasn’t the first time Taz has caused carnage around 26-year-old Dean’s house, reports Wales Online.
“He’s chewed my £125 trainers, washing baskets, slippers, ripped all my new Under Armour gym gear out of the washing machine, and he’s gone through about five beds,” Dean said.
“I take him jogging with me every morning before work and take him for long walks when I come home so he has plenty of exercise.
“He just can’t be trusted around the house.”
